Shot glasses are used for serving straight drinks like eau de vie, vodka, gin, etc. They can be used to serve palate cleansers such as sorbets and small portions of cold soups. If used for measuring, they should be marked to show exactly 30ml, which is the standard size for a shot in Australia.
