Rapeseed (Brassica napus), also known as rape, oilseed rape, rapa, rappi, rapaseed, is a bright yellow flowering member of the family Brassicaceae (mustard or cabbage family).

The oil derived from seeds of Brassica campestris or B.napus of the family Cruciferae and related trees. It can function as a stabilizer and thickener in peanut butter and as an emulsifier in cake mix shortenings.

Health Benefits of Rapeseed oil:

1.Contains the lowest saturated fat content of any oil - less than half that of Olive Oil.

2.Has 10 times more Omega 3 than Olive Oil.

3.It is a good source of Vitamin E.

4.High in monounsaturated fats.

5.Contains no artificial preservatives and is trans-fat and GM free.

6.It is suitable for a variety of diets – vegetarian, gluten-free, Kosher and Halal.

7.It is safe to cook at high temperatures with a burning point of 230c much higher than Olive Oil.
