Tomato paste is a thick paste that is made by cooking tomatoes for several hours to reduce moisture, straining them to remove the seeds and skin, and cooking them again to reduce them to a thick, rich concentrate.
The paste prepared from tomatoes which are processed by heat to prevent spoilage. The paste contains not less than 24% tomato soluble solids.

In each tablespoon, tomato paste contains 244 international units or about 162 milligrams of vitamin A, which is important for your vision. Vitamin C supports your skin, bones and connective tissues.
