Cloudberry 
is a rhizomatous herb, from the rose family of plants and therefore are closely related to strawberries, raspberries, cherries and apples Native to alpine and arctic tundra and boreal forest, they need sub-zero temps in the winter to hibernate and mild temps in the summer to grow, producing amber-colored edible fruit similar to the raspberry or blackberry.

English common names include cloudberry, bakeapple, salmonberry, yellowberry, bakeberry, malka,baked apple berry, Knotberry and Knoutberry, Averin and Evron.

The yellow or amber-coloured berry grows from a 2.5 cm big white flower on a creeping root like stem. The stalks can grow to a height of 7 - 25 cm.

Cloudberries are used in preserves, tarts, and other confections. They are also made into a liqueur. It does not taste bitter and also not overly sweet, more like a sweet - sour apple flavor.

Health benefits of Cloudberries

Cloudberry is not just a food plant but also a medical one.
